Tracking Questions

Where do I find my tracking number?

Your tracking number is generated automatically when a shipment is created. You can find it in:
  • Your Dashboard → Shipments tab
  • The confirmation email sent when the shipment was dispatched
  • The contract details page for the associated trade
Tracking numbers follow the format GCP-XXXX (e.g., GCP-4821).

How often is tracking data updated?

GPS location data is updated every 15 minutes during active transit. Status milestones (pickup, customs clearance, delivery) are updated in real-time as events occur. Climate sensor data is logged every 5 minutes and available on your dashboard.

Can I share tracking access with my buyer/seller?

Yes. Both the buyer and seller on a transaction have full access to the tracking dashboard for that shipment. You can also generate a public tracking link (read-only) to share with third parties such as customs brokers or logistics coordinators.

What happens if my shipment is delayed?

If a shipment is delayed beyond its estimated delivery date, you will receive:
  • An automatic delay alert via your configured notification channels
  • An updated ETA based on carrier data
  • A delay reason if provided by the carrier (weather, customs hold, etc.)
  • Access to our support team for escalation if needed
Delays caused by customs holds are flagged immediately, and our compliance team can assist with documentation if additional information is required.

Is the tracking data available via API?

Yes. Our REST API provides full access to tracking data including:
  • Real-time GPS coordinates and status
  • Milestone history with timestamps
  • Climate sensor readings (temperature, humidity)
  • Compliance document status
  • Estimated delivery windows
